Last February 15, 2010, the President signed into law Republic Act No. 9994 or the Expanded Senior Citizen’s Act of 2010, amending further Republic Act No. 9257, otherwise known as the “Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003″. The new law grants additional benefits to senior citizens apart from the 20% discount already given by the old law. For the salient features of the new law, see it under the Tools Tab, Laws and Implementing Regulations.

good evening. this all i concern is in a pharmacy institution where i,myself is one of the staff of it . it was just base on my here of words from others and my experience as well. all of the pharmacies right now needs to apply the 20% discount for all senior citizens . but, many of them, declined to apply it. but because of the said penalties for not giving 20% discount , they just mark-up all of the prices which senior citizens purchased so that in return, the real price will come out .. it simply means that some of our pharmacy holder, hard to give it because they could be rupted.
